Glenda
Bixler
A day doesn't go by without one or two books in
Glenda's hands—mostly
fiction—since
retiring from West Virginia University where she worked in
administration for nearly 38 years. During that time she wrote and
published many pamphlets and major reports, including ones for trade
magazines in the fields of, first, personnel, and then, primarily, in
facilities planning and management.
As Glenda moved toward retirement, she worked part-time as an editor
for Rainbow's End Publishing Company. Ms. Bixler also edited the
works of individual published authors, including Enid Portnoy, Make
Their Days; Joseph Fortney, One Man's Madness; Meredith
Campbell, Righteous Warriors, Thomas Kemp, The Road From
Here to Where You Stay, et. al.
Usually reading five
to eight books a week, Glenda's book reviewing experience has ranged
from ongoing contributions online to being accepted for publication in
Planning for Higher Education. She especially enjoys writing
reviews for those books by new authors to help encourage them in
their careers. She has also taken on the task of editing many of
these books when time permits. Glenda favors mysteries, thrillers,
suspense, but dedicates time and energy to new authors writing in any
genre.
