Omega Days by David Valensky is a book that should be much in demand.  Why?  Because many individuals interested in “end times” and the turmoil of our present world have been pouring over scripture, trying to put the sequence of foretold events into perspective.  Several people have told me that they were determined to read the entire Bible in search for answers, only to find that they became mystified, fearful, and uncertain about what the Book of Revelation—often called a holy time machine—was telling them.

The author, an accomplished poet, has used his talents to give readers a deeper understanding of spiritual truths.  The rhyming couplets are pleasant to the ears; however, the words are challenging, intriguing, informative, and in my opinion, God-inspired.  This exciting book presents truth without apology, recognizing the need for people to know what is prophesized to happen in the latter days.  David Valensky writes about the temptations of the world and how we need to turn to God for help.  All through his poetic selections, we see that prayer is emphasized, suggesting to me that our prayers should be interwoven, spiritual threads of communication with God that strengthen and sustain us.   Whether readers have questions about the ravenous beast, four horsemen, bear, dragon, eagle, antichrist, pestilence, disease, and the horrors of war that nations will face, Omega Days, with its unusual creative form, will inform readers and challenge their thinking. The following example is a prophecy given by the author:

But before the end comes
your stress will increase
and all manners of evils
will soon be released.

 (Page 1, number 6.)

I found it captivating to see how the author discusses happenings which I consider to be current events or predictable for the foreseeable future.  A few examples are recession, global threats, Christians and Jews facing much danger, market crashes, the rise in unemployment, failed taxes, murder, and rape.  But David Valensky reminds us to listen to God because He is in control; we must not listen to Lucifer or the world.  We must stand up and fight, repent and turn to God, and look toward Heaven with our hearts filled with love.  There is hope as expressed in the following couplets:

The Son in his glory
will conquer the earth
as Angels establish
his glorious worth

.    (Page 140, number 27.)

Dusk to dawn
with Angels in flight
the Lord will return
like a thief in the night.

(Page 141, number 45.)

Readers will find the writings on creation versus evolution, Lucifer, and the fall of man to be very enlightening.  Again, I must stress the ease of reading the messages; they are eye-opening and, regardless of your beliefs, I know that your minds will ponder the author’s words.

I read this book through twice, not because I didn’t understand it—but because I did.  It is a book of hope where the Light penetrates the darkness.  I highly recommend Omega Days.
